Bear Lake, a.k.a. Frog Lake

We camped out at Bear Lake for the meteor shower – and saw some, but didn’t catch any on camera! I Think our timing was slightly off… 🙂 We woke up at 3am and saw about 3 over the next half hour. But some friends said they woke up around 1:30 and saw 50! So, anyway, guess we blew that! oh well! Maybe next year…

But either way, meteors or no meteors, camping rules. I read a book (The art of racing in the rain – highly recommend it!),  we attempted to fish (looked cool but caught nothing), and mostly hung out outside and watched hundreds of migrating frogs. We also salvaged some sweet logs which we are hoping to turn into our “floating” kitchen shelves (more on that later).
